Terms of service

Last updated 16 October 2026 · Between

Draft for review. This page is being finalised with our legal advisers before launch.

These terms are an agreement between you and (to be added before launch) (“we”) for the use of Between. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. What Between is — and isn’t

Between is an AI-guided communication tool for couples. It is not therapy, counselling, medical or legal advice, and it is not an emergency service. The guide can make mistakes, including about who is speaking. If you or anyone is in danger, call 112. See our safety page for helplines.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old. A shared space is for two adults in a relationship who both agree to use it together. Don’t use Between if you feel afraid of your partner, or to pressure, monitor or control another person.

3. Your account

Keep access to your email secure; anyone who can open your sign-in links can use your account. You’re responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at (to be added before launch) if you think it has been misused.

4. Plans, payments and renewal

5. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse Between: no recording or uploading others without their consent, no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, no unlawful content, and no use of the guide to harass or harm anyone.

6. Your content

What you say and write stays yours. You give us permission to process it only to provide Between to you, as described in our privacy policy. We don’t use your sessions for advertising.

7. Our service

We work hard to keep Between available and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve features; if we stop offering a paid feature you’ve paid for, we’ll offer a fair refund for the unused part.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the guide’s suggestions. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or liability that can’t be limited by law.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account anytime in Settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put others at risk, and will tell you why unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first at (to be added before launch) — most problems can be solved quickly. Otherwise, disputes are subject to the courts at (to be added before launch).
