Safety and limits
Please read this — it matters.
If you need help right now
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call the emergency number 112.
- Tele-MANAS (mental health support, free, 24/7): 14416 or 1-800-891-4416
- Women Helpline (violence or abuse, 24/7): 181
Outside India, please contact your local emergency number or a local crisis or domestic-abuse service.
When talking together isn’t right
If you feel afraid of your partner, or are being controlled, threatened or hurt, talking it through together isn’t the right tool. Please reach out to a specialist service.
What your guide does
It gives you each time to speak, helps you say back what you heard, and helps you agree on one small step to try.
What it isn’t
- It isn’t a licensed therapist, and doesn’t diagnose or treat anything.
- It can’t respond to emergencies.
- It doesn’t take sides, and only knows what you each tell it.
- It can occasionally mistake who’s speaking — you can always correct it.
